STZ06 Programme Highlights
Featuring nearly 60 speakers and around 30 case studies, panels, workshops, networking activities, and concerts, the 6th edition of SoundTrack_Zurich (STZ06) once again offers a broad spectrum of events designed to strengthen the intersection between music, film, and television industries.
A highlight of this year’s programme is a conversation with Hildur Guðnadóttir, winner of a Golden Globe, a Critics’ Choice Award, a Bafta, and an Academy Award for Best Original Score for JOKER, receiving this year the ZFF Career Achievement Award. She also received international acclaim for her compositions for the miniseries CHERNOBYL as well as the films MARY MAGDALENE (2018), SICARIO: DAY OF THE SOLDADO (2018), TÁR, and WOMEN TALKING (both 2022).
Other featured composers at STZ06 are the Academy Award winner Nicolas Becker (THE SOUND OF METAL), Swiss electronic music pioneer Bruno Spoerri (DER WÜRGER VOM TOWER), Swiss Film Score Award winner and 2025 ZFF Featured Composer Balz Bachmann (THE SPARROW IN THE CHIMNEY), Swiss composer Sandrine Rudaz (PARADICE), and French composer Jérôme Rebotier (THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO). They are joined by multi-award-winning director Christian Petzold (AFIRE) and Swiss film and TV director Denis Rabaglia (MY BELOVED ENEMY).
STZ06 also offers hands-on workshops on topics including AI tools, PR and personal branding for composers and music creators, and contract negotiations, along with discussions on working with agents and music supervisors from across Europe.
Special attention will be given to the current legal framework on AI training and on the impact of the Swiss initiative to defund the public broadcasting.
Further programme highlights include case studies on successful films like DANDELION’S ODYSSEY, THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO, THE SUBSTANCE, and the TV-Series ON THE HIGH SEAS.
