EARLY BIRDS Case Study

Film's crew to delve into how to make a project with Dolby Atmos

On Sunday, October 1, 2023, SoundTrack_Zurich 04 will present the case study EARLY BIRDS at ZHdK's Dolby Atmos Studio. EARLY BIRDS is a hugofilm production in cooperation with Netflix and CH Media, that will be premiered at the Zurich Film Festival.

For the first time at STZ, the Dolby Atmos panel will feature the core team of the film in a case study. In addition to Michael Steiner (director) and Christoph Neracher (hugofilm producer), the leading music and sound crew of EARLY BIRDS will present their work: Adi Frutiger (composer), Martin Villiger (additional music), Roger Baltensperger (Dolby Atmos music mixing), Jacques Kieffer (endmix) and Manu Gerber (sound design).

In the panel, the EARLY BIRDS team will talk with André Bellmont about their experience in the process of scoring and sound design for this production recorded with Dolby Atmos, one of the first Swiss films using this technology.

Participants will have the opportunity to listen to excerpts of the project in the best quality and explore first-hand how this sound technology, which offers a profound immersive experience, works.
